“Information Bits from the Boss: Samantha provides brief answers to clients frequently asked questions”
What if the decedent dies with vehicles titled in their name alone?
Our office gets questions whether a vehicle should be titled jointly or individually for a married couple. From an estate administration prospective, if the vehicle is titled in one spouse’s name, in Pennsylvania, the surviving spouse can take the deceased spouse’s death certificate to a tag and title company and transfer ownership to the surviving spouse. If you have additional questions, please contact our office.
