Our History
We wanted to share a little bit of our history as we start this new venture. Our office journey begins with Tucker Maxwell. Our fantastic team members, Tamera (Tammy) Siegrist and Sandra (Sandy) Davis, have been long-standing employees with Tucker. Sandy has worked for Tucker for over 50 years, and Tammy began working with Tucker in 1985.
In 1999, Samantha was a freshman at Greencastle-Antrim High School and deciding what foreign language to take to fill her academic requirement. She decided on Latin. Her Latin teacher was Mrs. Maxwell, Tucker’s wife. Samantha took 4 years of Latin in high school, and Mrs. Maxwell would often talk about her beloved husband who was an attorney in Waynesboro, PA. At that time, Samantha was not considering a career in law, but loved learning Latin. Fast forward to the Summer of 2006. Samantha just finished her first year in law school and wanted to intern at a law firm near her home. On a whim, she sent a letter to Tucker Maxwell explaining how she had Judy as a Latin teacher and asking Tucker if there was a possibility that he needed a legal intern over the summer. Tucker was gracious enough to meet with Samantha about a legal internship.
Both summers Samantha was in law school, she worked for Tucker as a legal intern. She had the opportunity to work with Tammy Siegrist and Sandra Davis, Tucker’s long-standing employees, during that time. Over the course of those summers, Samantha discovered that she enjoyed helping clients complete their estate planning or assisting with administering estates upon a family member’s death.
When Samantha graduated from law school in 2008, she decided to pursue a legal masters in taxation to further her knowledge for future clients. When she graduated from her program in 2009, she worked for 7 ½ years at Steinbacher, Goodall & Yurchak (Williamsport, PA) in the area of estate planning, asset protection planning, long-term care planning, special needs planning, and business succession planning. She loved her job and her clients, but missed her family who still lived in Fairfield, PA. In 2017, Samantha moved back to join Maxwell Sipe Law Offices, LLC to be closer to her family and serve the greater Waynesboro area.
The Law Offices of Samantha K. Wolfe, LLC opened July 1, 2020, and with the help of Tucker’s long-standing employees, Tamera Siegrist and Sandra Davis, and the new addition of Amy Meek, we hope to serve the community in the area of legal expertise. We value the legacy that Tucker Maxwell created in Waynesboro. He believed in working hard for his clients and serving the community. We are honored to be serving clients in the area of estate planning, estate administration, asset protection planning, long-term care planning, Medicaid planning, special needs planning, and business succession planning.

Our Logo
When the idea of starting the law firm became a reality in July 2020, we knew we wanted to create a mission statement that conveyed to our current clients, prospective clients, and referral sources what was important to our team. We really do value each staff member of our team internally, as well as the team we have in the community with the financial advisors, accountants, and other local businesses who collaborate with our office regularly. We wanted a mission statement that showed the direction we wanted our firm to march toward, with purpose, every day for our clients. When we interact with our clients, we want to embody the principles included in our mission statement. We crafted our mission statement with care, so that we could proclaim what we stand for as a law firm and ensure that each client has a personal and fulfilling experience with our office.
Our goal as a law firm is to come alongside a family and provide support through the different seasons of life. During the course of perfecting our mission statement, it became apparent that we wanted a tagline that summarized the themes of our mission statement. We wanted our tagline to be concise and easy to remember, so we chose “Providing Mindful Legal Direction for You and Your Future Generations.” That statement demonstrates what we hope to accomplish at our firm. Whenever we think of clear directions, we revert back to what life was before GPS and rerouting. We think of a compass. A compass is clear, direct, and unwavering. A compass always points in the correct direction and encourages forward progress. That is what we want to do at our law firm. A compass is the perfect symbol to embody both our mission statement and our tagline, so we are happy to unveil our logo. It has taken us awhile to get here, but we are proud to share this visual that we hope you associate with our law firm.

This has been a year! We opened the law firm on July 1, 2020. I was terrified! At the time we opened our doors, we were not able to host a ribbon cutting because of all that was happening in our world. Reflecting over the last year, we are so thankful that we waited to have our ribbon cutting at our 1-year anniversary. Below is a picture of our ribbon cutting. This year made my staff and I realize how much our clients, community, and referral partners have helped make our first year what it was. Thank you! Thank you for all of our calls, emails, and kind words. My staff and I felt those kind words in your emails, calls, and even a happenstance meeting in the hallway of our office building. We recognize that all of you are the reason we are here.
I need to personally thank all of the prayer warriors in my life. We never would have been able to start this business in the middle of the pandemic without those prayers. I especially need to thank my parents and my family. When I was a nerdy twelve-year-old, decked out in headgear and purple glasses, I told my parents that I wanted to be a dolphin trainer. Amazingly, they didn’t laugh at my childhood wish. Instead, they encouraged me to chase my dreams with as much heart and determination as I could muster. My dad reminded me that any job worth doing is worth doing right. My mom reminded me that success is not always measured by your occupation. I need to thank Tucker Maxwell. He took a chance on a naïve student with no legal background when he hired me as a legal intern while I was in law school. He taught me that helping people is a worthy cause for any attorney. I need to thank my staff. They have embraced our mission statement and made it a reality for our clients.
From all of us at the Law Offices of Samantha K. Wolfe, LLC thank you!
